Welcome to the Tarot Blog Hop! Our wrangler Alison Cross of Tarot Thrones asked us to share something about a favorite Major Arcana card. Denver Tarot Convention speaker Mo Abdelbaki offered up his original artwork for The Fool.

The Fool
Gazing in his mirror,
squeezing shut his eyes,
The Fool became The Hearer
and instantly was wise.
Every petal, every blade,
every leaf by Nature made,
is meant to wilt, its colors fade.
With leaps of joy, The Fool did cry,
“Time is Precious! So am I!
Colors, textures, earth and sky,
air will freeze and streams run dry.
All of this must surely pass!”
Dare you use his looking glass?

Awesome poem, and I love the variation of having a old Fool and a dragon to slay, or at least wave a mirror at. 😉
LOL They do say that there’s no fool like an old fool. What a fun take on the Fool 😀
I love the poem, and the artwork is amazing! The colors of the picture and the beasts in front of the Fool are amazing! He himself reminds me of Rincewind from Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels, which is a big extra plus point! 🙂
That is such a cute image and verse! What a lovely way to kick off the Blog hop!
I love everything about this post… but most especially –
‘Time is Precious! So am I!’
Thanks! 😀
Lovely image and a wonderful poem!
